I am happy that project two encouraged me to delve deeper into the community I am writing about. Having done so, I had the opportunity to reflect on my Dance Marathon experience and write about something I now have an even stronger interest in. The interview I conducted with my teams miracle child's mom touched me in a way I didn't expect. When I reached out to Caden's mom she was exuberant to help me and thought it was amazing I was choosing to write my paper on this topic. When she answered my questions she answered with such detail and honesty that I felt I got a glimpse into what her family and Caden have been going through as he has been fighting his disease. This enabled me to truly understand the magnitude of what Dance Marathon does for the children who are treated at the Miracle Network Hospitals. Having gained this understanding and experience through Caden's mom it not only enhanced the quality of my paper but will have a lasting impact on me as well.
