Revising your writing is extremely important because you want your final draft to reflect all the hard work you put into it by it being the best it can possibly be. The continuous revising of your own work can become tedious and less than productive after awhile. Sometimes you just need fresh eyes to edit your work so that they can look and edit from a different perspective. Having a peer revise your work is likely to result in them catching mistakes you never saw because you were to invested in it or they can offer suggestions on how to get your writing back on track if you venture out of your original genre, tone, purpose. I know that when I get stuck doing things I have to walk away and come back to it later or ask someone to help me get out of the block. That is essentially what peer review is. I now see the numerous benefits to peer review and look forward to sharing my drafts with my classmates to ensure my project one final project is the best that I can make it.
