This article mainly made me think about the way American's consume food and our disregard for the way we obtain the food we eat. My family eats meat and seafood a lot and I never knew lobsters had to be cooked alive, which is especially surprising to me because my parents have even cooked lobster in our own kitchen. It is sad to think about how we kill animals for own consumption and how many of the means for killing the animals are inhumane and many of us don't think twice about it. I respect vegetarians, but don't personally think I could ever be one. I don't think that eating meat is wrong but that the way the meat is obtained should be much more humane than boiling an animal alive.
